Actuarial factors that have a significant effect on A plan calculations change annually. In the interest of keeping things as accurate as possible, the program is designed to stop functioning unless the most current factors are being used. Rather than having the program automatically check for updates, which would require the use of your internet connection, it is designed to stop functioning at a certain date in the future. Programs purchased today will function until early 2026, at which time the actuarial factors for 2026 should have been released. An update for $20 can then be purchased to load the new factors and use the program for another year.
